COAS General Chhatraman Singh Gurung Reviews the Passing out Parade at Indian Military Academy (IMA)

COAS General Chhatraman Singh Gurung, who is on a official visit to India from 11 December, 2009, reviewed the Gentleman Cadet Passing out Parade at the IMA, Dehradun, on 12 December and also addressed the newly commissioned officers.

The Chief Guest of the ceremony, General Gurung, conferred the rank of Second Lieutenant on foreign Gentleman Cadets including two Nepalese who were also part of the 125th Passing put Parade. In addition, General Gurung awarded the Sword of Honor to the outstanding Gentleman Cadet and also gave away gold, silver and bronze medals to Gentleman Cadets securing first, second and third position in academics respectively. General Gurung also awarded the Chief of the Army Banner to the champion Company. A total of 536 Gentleman Cadets participated in the ceremony.
