The CoAS Gen. Gaurav SJB Rana visited Birendra Peace Operations Training Centre, Panchkhal on 2069/09/08. During the visit, Gen. Rana inspected the Pre - Deployment Training of the Bhairabi Dal Battalion (NEPBATT-18th) which will be deploying in Congo, MONUSCO mission shortly. Gen. Rana also delivered the message of Rt. Hon. President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav on his behalf to the troops.
In his address, Gen. Rana mentioned of the NA's significant contribution towards the United Nations for the past 45 years where the NA has contributed 92,000 troops in 39 different missions with the current deployment of 3378 troops in 11 different missions. He said, " NA has displayed its competence and professionalism not only at home but in International Arena as well which is displayed by NA's performance in various missions". He also paid homage to those brave 58 soldiers who had made the ultimate sacrifice for the cause.
During his address, Gen. Rana also mentioned that despite the upheavals faced by the NA during its course of history, the NA had remained a professional and cohesive organization which acted as pillars of the country and its people. He believed that the troops would perform their duty professionally in the mission area and respect the values & ethos of the NA and maintain their discipline while discharging their duty. He also gave his best wishes to the troops for a successful completion of the mission.
