Right Honorable Prime Minister Confers Commissioning Rank to Officer Cadets

1. Right Honorable Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on December 12, 2010 conferred with the insignia of second-lieutenant to the officer cadets of Serial No. 40 JCO and NCO Cadet Basic Course at an impressive passing out ceremony held at Nepalese Military Academy at Kharipati in Bhaktapur. 2. Prime Minister rewarded the best NCO Cadet Arjun Bista with the prestigious Sword of Honor. The commissioning marked the end of 9 months long grueling military training that comprised 17 JCO and 34 NCO cadets. 3. Prime Minister after reviewing the passing out parade addressed the newly inducted officers. Prime Minister exhorted Nepalese Army for incessantly carrying out the directives of the government without caring for life to protect the nation from internal subversion and external aggression. He lauded NA for its stern commitment to protect the lives and property of the Nepalese citizen. He also expressed the glorious role of NA in successfully protecting the national sovereignty and territorial integrity and also maintaining international and stability has been instrumental in fetching international recognition and fame for the country. He also wished a successful soldering profession to the newly commissioned officers by ably posing themselves as the exemplary duty bound employee to the nation and the people. 4. Present at the commissioning parade were Chief of Army Staff( CoAS); Military Attachés of foreign embassies in Nepal; Generals, Officers and other ranks of NA; high ranking officers of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force; Ex CoAS and Generals; and the proud parents and relatives of the newly commissioned officers.
