(a) Training on Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law and United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 and 1820. (b) As a extension of past practice, all the vehicles of Nepal Army would bear the stickers commencing from 7 days prior and post to International Human Rights Day (December 10, 2010) mentioning " Nepal Army Committed to Human Rights". (c) On Dec 11, the message delivered by COAS will be recited to all the units and sub-units of Nepalese Army.
1. Nepalese Army has planned to mark the International Human Rights Day with various programs like in the previous years. 2. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Chhatra man Singh Gurung in a message to all ranks has reiterated that Nepalese Army abides by the universal principles of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law and during its promotion and protection practices Zero Tolerance Policy. 3.
