NA Team wins Silver Medal in the 'Exercise Cambrain Patrol'

Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Gaurav SJB Rana felicitated a team of Pashupati Prasad Battalion amidst a special ceremony organized at Army HQs on October 30, 2014. An eight-member patrol team of Pashupati Prasad Battalion, led by Captain Praladh Ghale participated in the 'Exercise Cambrain Patrol' organized by the British Army from 17-26 October 2014 and won the silver medal. Pashupati Prasad Battalion was selected to participate in the 'Exercise Cambrain Patrol' after it stood first in the 'Exercise Kurukshetra' during the 'Professional Competition 2070'. The Nepalese Army Patrol Team left for United Kingdom to participate in the exercise on October 03, 2014 and returned on October 26, 2014. A total of 119 military teams from all over the world had participated in the exercise. The British Army has been running Exercise Cambrain Patrol for over 50 years. The Exercise Cambrain Patrol, which includes numerous types of military exercises over an area of 80 Km within 48 hours time limit, is very demanding; testing individual skills and leadership over rough terrain. The Nepalese Army patrol team, that participated for the first time, completed the whole exercise in just 36 hrs, to earn the silver medal.
