Prime Minister lays foundation stone of Fast Track

<div>Rt. Hon Prime Minister Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal laid foundation stone for the construction of the Kathmandu-Tarai Fast Track, the national pride project, amid a special ceremony organized in Nijgadh, Bara on May 28, 2017.</div><div><br></div><div>Addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony, Prime Minister Dahal stressed that the construction of the Fast Track will not only bring the Tarai and Mountain closer economically and physically but will also make them close psychologically. Speaking at the occasion, Honorable Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Mr. Ramesh Lekhak and Honorable Defence Minister Mr. Bal Krishan Khand expressed their belief that Nepalese Army, with all the previous experiences, skills and efficiencies demonstrated during various phases of national development, will successfully complete the construction of the national glory project in time.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Delivering the thank you note, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Rajendra Chhetri said that Nepalese Army (NA) is honored to get the management responsibility for the construction of the immensely important national pride project and added that Nepalse Army is committed to accomplish the given responsibility.</div><div><br></div><div>At the beginning, chairman of the High-Powered Direction Committee Chief of Staff (COS) Lt Gen Purna Chandra Thapa while delivering the welcome speech said that the construction of immeasurably important project will be a milestone to the economic development of the country. Likewise head of the construction of the Fast Track project T/Maj Gen Yogendra Khand briefed on the various technical aspects of the project.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Honorable Forest and Soil Conservation Minister, Honorable Physical Infrastructure and Transport State Minister, Honorable Vice Chairman of National Planning Commission, Honorable members of National planning Commission, officials from various ministries and offices, general officers of NA, media personnel and general public were present during the foundation stone laying ceremony.</div><div><br></div>
