Indian Army Chief Concludes Nepal Visit

Indian Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS), General Bipin Rawat, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, ADC conclude Nepal visit and returned back on February 14, 2018. Chief of Staff (COS) Lieutenant General Hemanta Raj Kunwar bade farewell to General Rawat and his entourages at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

The Indian Army chief attended the 'Army Day-2074' function, organized by the Nepali Army to mark the 250th anniversary of Nepal's unification, as a special guest. During his stay in Nepal, General Rawat paid a courtesy call on Right Honorable President Ms. Bidhya Devi Bhandari and Right Honourable Prime Minister Mr. Sher Bahadur Deuba in separate meetings. He also met his Nepali counterpart General Rajendra Chhetri, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Nepali Army at Army Headquarters, Bhadrakali.

The visiting delegation lead by General Rawat arrived in Kathmandu on February 12, 2018 upon an official invitation extended by COAS General Rajendra Chhetri.
