The "first COAS High Altitude Tri-Adventure Competition-2074", organized by Nepali Army (NA) in Jomsom, Mustang District, concluded amid a special ceremony held at Nepal Army High Altitude School on March 30, 2018. Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Rajendra Chhetri observed the national level event as the chief guest.
Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) Team-B clinched the title of '1st COAS High Altitude Tri-Adventure Competition-2074' by clocking a timing of 1 hour 19 minutes 44 seconds. Likewise, TAC Team-A stood second by finishing the events in 1 hour 20 minutes 50 seconds and Armed Police Force (APF) Team-A stood third with a timing of 1 hour 21 minutes 11 seconds.
The national level event that included 100 meters climbing, 4.75 Kilometers running and 15.5 Kilometers cycling was participated by 15 teams including three teams from Nepali Army and two teams from APF among others.
COAS Gen Chhetri handed over a cash prize of Rs 50,000, trophy and certificate to the winning team. Similarly, the first runner up received RS 30,000 and second runner up received Rs 20,000 together with medals and certificates. All the participating teams also received a cash prize of Rs 5,000 medals and certificates.
General officers of Nepali Army, Mustang District Judge, Chief District Officer (CDO) of Mustang, Military Attaché of US Embassy, Officers of NA and sports lovers were present on the occasion.
