Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Rajendra Chhetri was honoured by providing the 'Certificate of Honour' during the 'Academic Hall Of Fame' Induction Ceremony held at Nepali Military Academy, Kharipati, Bhaktapur on May 30, 2018. Amid a special Induction Ceremony, the first of its kind, COAS General Chhetri's Portrait was inducted into the 'Academy Hall of Fame' in Nepali Military Academy, Kharipati, Bhaktapur. In the history of Nepali Army (NA), COAS General Chhetri is the the first Chief of the Army Staff commissioned from this academy. COAS Gen Chhetri is the first inductee of the 'Academic Hall of Fame'.
The 'Academic Hall of Fame' is founded for the first time in Nepali Military Academy, Kharipati. The 'Academic Hall of Fame' will provide an excellent opportunity to recognize national and international graduates of Nepali Military Academy, who have attained through merit the highest command positions in their respective Armies. The inductees will be presented a 'Certificate of Honour' and a framed portrait of the inductee will be displayed on the top of the 'Academy Hall of Fame' of the Prithivi Narayan Bhawan of the Academy.
President of Nepali Army Wives Association (NAWA), former COASs, Chief of General Staff, Chief of Staff, Heads of the sister security organizations, General Officers of NA, Chief District Officer of Bhaktapur, Former Commandants & Dean of Nepali Military Academy, Defence Attaches of Foreign Embassies in Nepal, Officers of NA, Executive Committee Members of NAWA and Family Members of COAS Gen Chhetri among others were present during the Induction Ceremony.
