USG for Peacekeeping Operations Calls on COAS
His Excellency Mr. Jean-Pierre Lacroix, Under-Secretary-General (USG) for Peacekeeping Operations United Nations Headquarters (UNHQ), called on Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Rajendra Chhetri at Nepali Army Headquarters, Bhadrakali on Tuesday (June 26, 2018). Lieutenant General Carlos Humberto Loitey, Military Advisor DPKO, UNHQ was also present during the meeting.

H.E. Mr. Lacroix, who is in Nepal for an official visit, is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Right Honorable President, Right Honorable Prime Minister, Honorable Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Defence, Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs and Honorable Minister of Home Affairs in separate meetings. Likewise, he will also have separate meetings with the heads of the sister security organizations during his stay in Nepal.

H.E. Mr. Lacroix arrived in Kathmandu on Tuesday for a three-day official visit. He was received by Inspector General (IG) Major General Anuj Bahadur Basnyat at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). Ending his visits, H.E Mr. Lacroix and his delegation will return back on Friday (June 28, 2018).
