The Graduation Ceremony of the S.N. 25 Command and Staff Course was held at the Army Command and Staff College (ACSC), Shivapuri on February 21, 2019. The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Purna Chandra Thapa graced the occasion as the chief guest.
A total of 62 officers including 49 officers from Nepali Army (NA), 10 international officers one each from Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, USA, UK and 2 officers from China, one each officer Armed Police Force from, Nepal Police and National Investigation Department graduated successfully.
Commandant of Army Command and Staff College, Major General Ishwor Hamal delivered the welcome speech and congratulated the graduating student officers and thanked all the stakeholders involved in conducting the course successfully.
The Chief Guest, COAS General Thapa awarded the certificates to the graduating officers. Major Pratik Singh Karki bagged the “Best Student award” and also stood first in Masters in Strategic Studies (MSS). The Command and Staff Collage is accredited to the Tribhuvan University and all Officers who fulfil the required criteria are awarded with a Masters Degree in Strategic Studies (MSS). Vice Chancellor of the Tribhuvan University, Prof. Dr. Tirtharaj Khaniya gave away the certificates of Master’s Degree to the graduates. Major Pratik Singh Karki and Major Sunil Bista were jointly declared the 'Best Students in Commandant's Paper'.
COAS General Thapa highlighted about the importance, necessity, relevancy and effectiveness of the training in his remark.
In between the ceremony, COAS General Thapa unveiled the 20th volume of 'The Shivapuri', the annual journal of ACSC.
Present at the graduation ceremony were Vice Chancellor of Tribhuvan University, Military Attaché of foreign embassies, Ex- Generals of NA, Inspector General of Armed Police Force, Officials of Nepal Administrative Staff College, Professors, Generals and officers of NA and spouses of graduating officers among others.
