Private Radhika Thapa Becomes the First Female Soldier to Complete CIJW

1.         Sipahi (Private) Radhika Thapa has added another page in the history of female pioneers in the Nepali Army by becoming the first ever female soldier to have completed the demanding and arduous Counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare (CIJW) course.

2.       Hailing from Melamchi of Sindhupalchowk, she has joined the Nepali Army in 2069 B.S. The Three month long course is considered a tough and demanding course that involves learning and utilization of sophisticated military skills like jungle navigation, setting of booby traps, jungle survival techniques and snake bite management among many others. She has also completed Light Vehicle Driving and Maintenance training. She has now joined ranks with the following first females of the Nepali Army. Congratulations Radhika.
