The Graduation Ceremony of the S.N. 28 Command and Staff Course was held at the Army Command and Staff College, Shivapuri on February 25, 2022. The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Prabhu Ram Sharma graced the occasion as the chief guest.
A total of 72 officers including 58 male officers and one female officer from the Nepali Army, 10 international officers one each from Bangladesh, Malaysia, India, Lebanon, Maldives, Nigeria, Pakistan, Kenya (female officer), Sri Lanka and UK, one each officer from Armed Police Force, Nepal, Nepal Police and National Investigation Department graduated successfully.
The chief guest, COAS General Sharma awarded the Graduation Certificates and PSC (Passed Staff College) certificates to the student officers. Captain Deep Chandra KC bagged the overall “Best Student Officer" and "Best Student Officer in Master's Degree". The Command and Staff College is accredited by the Tribhuvan University and all officers who fulfill the required criteria are awarded with a Master Degree in Strategic Studies (MSS). Vice-Chancellor of the Tribhuvan University, Prof. Dr. Dharma Kanta Banskota gave away the certificates of Master’s Degree to the graduates. Major Prabhat Thapa bagged the 'Best Commandant's Paper' award.
COAS General Sharma, during his keynote remark, congratulated the graduating officers and highlighted the importance, necessity, relevancy and effectiveness of the training. He also thanked the commandant, administrative staffs and the faculty of the ACSC. During the ceremony, COAS General Sharma also unveiled the 23rd volume of 'The Shivapuri', the annual journal of the college.
Commandant of Army Command and Staff College, Major General Hira Lal Joshi delivered the welcome speech and congratulated the graduating student officers. He also thanked all the stakeholders involved in conducting the course successfully.
Present on the graduation ceremony were general officers of NA, Dean and the officials of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Officials of Nepal Administrative Staff College, Heads of other security agencies, Former commandant of the Army Command and Staff College, Professors, Officers of NA, Community sponsors and Spouses of graduating officers.
