On the occasion of "Directorate of Public Relations and Information (DPR&I) Day", a prize distribution programme for the winners of "Nepali Army Short Movie Competition- 2078” and "Nepali Army Photo Competition- 2078” was conducted at Nepali Army Headquarters on April 19, 2022. On the same occasion, writers of the best articles published in the "Sipahi Annual-2078” & "The Shivapuri Journal-2022" and the best performing units of "Photo and Various Exhibition-2078" were awarded.

The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Prabhu Ram Sharma distributed cash prizes and certificates to the jury members, participants and the winners of "Nepali Army Short Movie Competition- 2078” and "Sipahi Annual-2078” & "The Shivapuri Journal-2022". 

Ingi Hopo Koinch Sunuwar's "Sena Ko Cheli" was judged the best movie in the “Nepali Army Short Movie Competition- 2078”. Similarly, "Seta Malami" of Durga Bahadur Karki and "Dolma" of Rabin Tamang were declared the first runner up and the second runner up respectively. The first, second and third films were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 2,00,000, Rs. 1,50,000 and Rs. 1,00,000 respectively. 

The article titled "Small States’ Security: Survival Strategy to Nepal", published in the "Sipahi Annual-2078" and "The Afghanistan War (2001 - 2021): Implications and Lessons Learnt" published in the "The Shivapuri Journal-2022" by Brigadier General Dharma Bahadur Baniya (Retd.) bagged the first and third prize respectively among the research articles in "Sipahi Annual-2078" and "The Shivapuri Journal-2022". Likewise, the article titled "King Prithvi Narayan Shah: The Kautilya’s Vijigishu" published in the "The Shivapuri Journal-2022" by Major Satvinder Singh won the second prize. The first, second and third articles were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000, Rs. 35,000 and Rs. 25,000 respectively.

Similarly, Technical Sergeant Ishwor Khadka bagged the title of the "Best Photo of the Year" and Barsha Shah won the first prize in the "Nepali Army Photo Competition- 2078” in the non-military category.

In the programme, Bhairav Bahan Company, Special Force Brigade and Shardul Jung Company were declared the best performing units in the "Photo and Various Exhibition-2078" and were awarded the first, second and third prizes respectively.

 Assistance Chief of Army Staff (ACOAS) Lieutenant General Saroj Pratap Rana distributed cash prizes and certificates to the Jury members, participants and the winners of "Photo and Various Exhibition-2078" whereas Vice Chief of Army Staff (VCOAS) Lieutenant General Bal Krishna Karki distributed cash prizes and certificates to the Jury members, participants and the winners of "Nepali Army Photo Competition- 2078”.

High ranking officials of the Nepali Army, jury members, and participants of the events among others were present during the ceremony.
