Indian Army Chief Concludes his Visit

 Indian Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Dalbir Singh, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC concluded his three-day visit to Nepal and returned home on, Sunday, November 13, 2016. The Chief of Staff (COS) Lt Gen Purna Chandra Thapa bade farewell to the Indian Army Chief at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

During his three-day stay in Nepal, General Singh paid a courtesy call on Right Honourable President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, Right Honourable Prime Minister Puspa Kamal Dahal and Honourable Defense Minister Bal Krishna Khand in separate meetings.

Likewise, On November 11, 2016, Gen Singh met his Nepalese counterpart, COAS Gen Chhetri, at latter's office, Army Headquarters. During the meeting, they discussed on various issues of bilateral interests. On the same day, Gen Singh attended a cultural programme organised by Nepalese Army Wives Association (NAWA) at Auditorium Hall, Nepalese Army Headquarters, Bhadrakali.

On November 12, 2016, Gen Singh, together with COAS Gen Rajendra Chhetri, observed the Indo-Nepal Joint Group Training Exercise Surya Kiran-X at Nepalese Army Battle School in Saljhandi, Rupandehi. Gen Singh arrived at Kathmandu on Friday, November 11, 2016 upon the official invitation of COAS General Rajendra Chhetri.
